The Eiffel Tower photographed from the beautiful Pont de Bir-Hakeim, (formerly the Pont de Passy), the bridge that crosses the Seine River connecting the15th and 16th arrondissements, and passes across the île des Cygnes. The Bridge was renamed in 1948 to commemorate the Battle of Bir Hakeim. Passy Paris France.

Gustave Eiffel designed the Tower for the Paris World Fair of 1889 in honour of the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.
