Coastal Australia
Coastal Landscape Images

We are truly blessed in Australia by our superb coastline that enables us the opportunity to have access to come of the best beaches in the world. It is hard to pick the best but my favourite coastal regions includes the South Coast NSW and the Surfcoast of Victoria (including the Shipwreck coast with the 12 Apostles)
Gerringong South Coast NSW
![]()
Gerringong is a picture postcard coastal town located on the NSW Southcoast about 1.5 hours south of Sydney. While most of the NSW coastline is being over developed, Gerringong is one of those places that retains the elements of a true coastal idyll. Set off the main highway, the town has maintained a layback country style and sense of community that it is the envy of many. Add to that the fact that its beach, Werri Beach, is renowned as the best surf beach on the NSW South Coast. Werri (originally known as Ourie Beach) is a beautiful classic Australian beach with its pristine sands stretched out between two rock headlands with a magnificent rock pool on the rock shelf of the southern end and a wonderful lagoon at the northern end.
Anglesea Surfcoast Victoria
Anglesea Surfcoast - the spectacular area of the Victorian Surf Coast around Anglesea is dotted with fantastic coastal vistas and attracts all types of visitors; surfers are attracted to the great beaches along the Great Ocean Road particularly Bells Beach, holiday makers and families come for the protected beaches of Roadknight and Anglesea Main Beach, nature walkers are well catered for with several National Parks, and those wishing to see and photograph one of the coast's best lighthouse come to Airey's to photograph Split Point Lighthouse which has been guiding ships away from the rugged Southern Ocean Coastline.Twelve Apostles Great Ocean Road - Victoria

The magnificent Twelve Apostles are a true Australian icons; in the same vein as the Outback or the mighty Darling River, they are engrained in the Australian character. The first sight of the magnificent sandstone structures lives with you forever and is a must for those who have not ventured along the Great Ocean Road. (About 5 Hours drive from Melbourne).
Minnamurra Rainforest - South Coast NSW
Minnamurra Rainforest & Waterfall - Nestled in the hinterland behind Kiama and sitting just below the escarpment is Minnamurra rainforest and waterfall. Located in the Budderoo National Park near Jamberoo (and Jamberoo Action Park), the waterfall is accessed via the Minnamurra Rainforest, and this region of the park is a wonderful examples of subtropical and warm-temperate rainforests that once dominated this region of the Illawarra.
Gerroa 7 Mile Beach - South Coast NSW
Gerroa - 7 Mile Beach - Situated on the coast, just south of Kiama, lies the township of Gerroa, on the Crooked River, at the northern end of 7 Mile Beach. Seven Mile beach, part of the Seven Mile Beach National Park, is a beautiful stretch of golden sand that extends down to the Shoalhaven River near Nowra.
Bombo Beach Minnamurra - NSW South Coast
Bombo Beach and Minnamurra - Located very close the beautifully set south coast seaside town of Kiama, Bombo (Beach and Headland), Cathedral Rock (Jones Beach) and Minnamurra Beach are spectacular tourist destinations located a bit over an hour from Sydney. The area has plenty for the visitor; surfing at Bombo Beach or Mystic's Beach, coastal walks and some wonderful swimming spots. All this within an easy drive of Kiama accommodation for those who wish to stay a day or two.
Kiama South Coast NSW
Kiama, a beautifully set seaside town located on the southcoast of NSW, is located about 130kms south of Sydney and sits beautifully between the escarpment of the Southern Highlands and the Pacific Ocean. The southcoast at Kiama is probably some of the most beautiful in all the country; and it comes as no surprise that it is one of the state's top holiday destinations.
