The northern end of Werri Beach is the start/end of the magnificent Kiama Coastal Walk, a unique experience that provides access to a remarkable stretch of the coastal cliffs and rock pools. It connects with Kiama at Loves Bay.
Gerringong grew out of the early timber cutters (cedar) and Boat Harbour, at the southern end of town, provided the means of transporting the timber to Wollongong and Sydney. As a result of the clearing, and its good rainfall, the lush landscape enabled the town to develop as a dairy village. With its wonderful beaches and awesome coastline, Gerringong natural progressed into tourism and today it has a perfect mix to without being too busy or too crowed in the peak times.
