The tree is located near Sturt's Cairn which was built on Mount Poole as a lookout for the return of Sturt's expedition to the interior. Not only a lookout for Sturt's expedition, Sturts Cairn was intended to occupy the time of the base party of the expedition. Outback NSW, Australia.
